PR Legal was the Exclusive Country Contributor to the CEELM Comparative Legal Guide: Data Protection 2024 for Serbia

July 31, 2024

CEE Legal Matters (“CEELM”) is a print and online publication for and about lawyers working in Europe’s emerging legal markets. PR Legal was honored to be invited to contribute an analysis on personal data protection compliance in Serbia for the CEELM publication.

The CEELM Comparative Legal Guide: Data Protection 2024 looks at key aspects of data protection laws across different jurisdictions, focusing on the main regulations, entities, and sectors covered. It discusses territorial application, regulatory authorities, and data breach protocols. The guide also explores penalties for non-compliance, enforcement trends, the influence of emerging technologies, and expected legal changes.

Our Managing Partner Ivana Ružičić, on the occasion of the publication of the Guide, said: “The importance of data protection and compliance in this area cannot be overstated. It is noticeable that companies on the Serbian market, as data controllers, are increasingly paying attention to these issues. The domestic practice is improving in every aspect, primarily by adopting the EU standards, and that is rather encouraging.”
